                                                                    Baking Spree
I was inspired to go on a baking spree because it was a dreary rainy day and also
I inherited Margie's bread machine, which I was so excited about...
but I discovered the heating element doesn't work, so I just made bread dough
for calzone, I've also known them as Welsh miner's pies
in go the ingredients, it's so easy.
I love this machine because it bakes bread horizontally,
so I'm heartbroken it doesn't work. I'll just have to look into a new one.
I tried looking for a replacement element but, alas, they don't offer one.
Anyhoo, here's the nice dough
yes, it was a Saturday
good vegetarian fare
carnivores can add their choice of chopped beast
add a little onion and garlic, I also added some of
my roasted tomatoes from last summer which I had frozen
it really does smell good
roll out a little dough, add the chopped up mix
and some fresh mozzarella, spill a little basil on top
fold the dough over and smoosh it down,
it looks like this before you pop it into the oven
ready to eat, yummy good, and also great for the lunch pack
miner's pies on the left...I also baked some lost-then-found chocolate chip cookie dough I discovered
in the freezer from our cookie-doo (thank you Linda),
and some apple-molasses scones to use up a few questionable apples, and surprise! those are pretzels on the right!
Not so good the next day, you have to eat them fresh right away, but they are good toasted after that.

Treats to brighten any rainy day...guaranteed!
